Pinch hits Orlando's real-estate sales
Orlando Sentinel reports: Just as retail sales have plunged across the state and the nation during the past year, so have sales of retail real estate in Orlando and elsewhere, a new report shows. Sales of office properties are doing almost as poorly.
The third-quarter report by Real Capital Analytics and LoopNet showed that Orlando's retail properties still commanded a premium, with local sales averaging $195 a square foot -- better than those in Atlanta; Charlotte, N.C.; Charleston, S.C.; and the U.S. overall.
