In the spring of 2007, DMGI acquired a minority interest in RCA. DMGI invests in and manages business-to-business information companies and is a subsidiary of the Daily Mail and General Trust plc, one of the UK's leading international media groups. In the real estate industry, it owns Property & Portfolio Research, Trepp, Environmental Data Resources and Landmark (UK).
RCA is a founding partner of REAL, a firm that designs and commercializes property indices, derivative products and asset management vehicles. In 2007, State Street acquired a majority interest in REAL, LLC. RCA formed a joint venture with LoopNet in 2005 as a distribution, marketing and data partner. LoopNet operates the largest and most heavily trafficked commercial property listing service online with more than 3 million registered members. LoopNet is a NASDAQ company and trades under the symbol “LOOP”.
RCA has established an alliance with Europe Real Estate Publishers (REP) to assist RCA with its expansion into Europe and share offices with its research staff. Based in The Hague, Europe Real Estate publishes commercial property books throughout Europe and hosts a leading property news web site.
RCM1 provides custom web marketing, virtual deal rooms, and a qualified principal/buyer database for the institutional real estate industry. Their platform helps transaction professionals to market, manage, and track assets with increased speed, efficiency, transparency and security.
