Chart: Global Activity Tracker, Reckoning at End of Q3

At the end of the third quarter, the count and volume of deals across the three global zones has fallen back even further as the Covid-19 pandemic grinds on.

— In the Americas, deal volume through the end of September was 42% lower than the same point in 2019, and the deal count 34% lower.

— In Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), transaction volume is down 22% year-over-year and deal count down 32%.

— Deal volume in the Asia Pacific region has fallen 32% versus the same period in 2019, with the count of deals 24% lower.

Real Capital Analytics will this week release the Q3 2020 editions of Asia Pacific Capital Trends and Global Capital Trends. These reports examine the latest deal activity and cross-border capital flows. The most active buyers and sellers of the year so far are ranked.
