Chart: Top US Markets for Cross-Border Investors

By on March 6th, 2018

Cross-border investors in U.S. commercial real estate are not a uniform bunch. Take a look at their preferred target markets in the U.S., for instance.

Manhattan was comfortably at top of the shopping list of Asia Pacific investors in 2017. For European investors, their top choice was Manhattan but by a much smaller margin. For Canadian investors, Manhattan only came in at #3, a long way behind Houston and a hair behind Chicago. Houston, in fact, was the #2 destination for cross-border investors overall last year.
