Chart: US Pricing Highs in Past Five Years

By on January 30th, 2018

Investors’ hesitancy to pay up for the most expensive assets in the U.S. can be seen by tracking the number of markets that registered record high deal prices in 2017.

Looking at the top 50 markets for deal volume over the last five years, only 12 retail markets set price highs in 2017 compared with 21 out of the 50 markets in 2015. The industrial sector bucks this trend with a larger number of markets setting record high prices in 2017.
