Institutional Investor reports: Baby boomers are coming of age and US population statistics said that 13% of the population was over the age of 65 in 2009. In another 15 years that number is expected to rise another 6%. As people age there is more demand for health care products and services as well as seniors housing. According to global commercial real estate data firm Real Capital Analytics, medical office building deals reached $3 billion, the highest since 2006.
